Greetings! My name is Gabe, and I work full time as an ICU nurse in Chicago. I discovered historical fencing in 2018 when I couldn’t run track and field anymore due to an injury. H.E.M.A. filled the void that was left by no longer being a sprinter, something I was pretty good at for a large portion of my life. I have the Chicago Swordplay Guild to thank for facilitating my sword journey.

I still study Italian rapier with them to this day, as well as the German side of fencing through the WHFA Germantown chapter.
​In my inability to find a lot of apparel to showcase my newfound passion, in 2020 I decided to create my own. In 2024, I chose to officially launch my shop. I wanted to create attractive apparel that would not only appeal to existing practitioners in the community, but to also spark interest to potential newcomers and bring them into our clubs and events.
